ERG Tap Collet

Product Description

ERG Tap Collet is a high-precision clamping tool specially designed for CNC machine tools, machining centers or tapping machines. It is used to fix taps and ensure excellent concentricity, rigidity and vibration reduction during high-speed tapping. Its design aims at reducing the risk of tap breakage and prolonging the tool life, and is especially suitable for machining difficult-to-cut materials such as stainless steel and titanium alloy.

Product Advantages

ERG Tap Collet adopts precision grinding jacket structure to ensure high concentricity between tap and spindle (usually within ±0.005mm) and avoid thread deviation. Suitable for high-precision thread processing (such as ISO standard thread, fine thread, etc.). Built-in damping spring or damping structure absorbs axial vibration during tapping and reduces the risk of tap edge collapse. Suitable for high-speed tapping (the highest speed can reach more than 6,000 RPM, depending on the model). Support ER spring collet system (such as ER11, ER16, ER20, etc.), and be compatible with mainstream brand shanks (such as BT, HSK, etc.). Change taps quickly to reduce downtime. The special groove design enhances the clamping force and prevents the tap from slipping, which is especially suitable for tapping large diameter or deep hole. The jacket is made of high-strength alloy steel (such as SCM435) and heat-treated, and the surface is plated with nickel or titanium nitride (TiN), which is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
